NAME THAT CLASSIC TV SHOW

A Trip Back to Prime Time

Do you remember when watching television meant checking the TV Guide and being in front of the set at the right time? There was no streaming, pausing or watching an entire season in one weekend. If you missed an episode, you had to wait for a rerun and hope you caught it the next time around.

Television in the 1970s and 1980s gave us unforgettable characters, catchy theme songs and shows that families watched together. We followed familiar characters week after week, laughed at their mishaps and talked about the episodes the next day.

Why Do We Remember These Shows So Well?

A familiar television show can bring back much more than its storyline. You may remember the house where you watched it, who sat beside you or what your family was doing at the time. That’s what makes nostalgia so interesting. A television show, song or familiar voice can unlock memories we haven’t thought about in years. Trying to recall those details also gives your brain a gentle workout. You’re using memory, concentration and association while having a little fun along the way.
